ONE HUNDRED opens two innovative restroom hubs at popular Citycon mall
Stockholm, Wednesday 30th of August 2023 – This morning two ONE HUNDRED restroom hubs opened at the Kista Galleria shopping centre, one of Sweden’s largest and most visited shopping centres. The future proof toilet concept offers visitors of the mall a moment of relaxation. For ONE HUNDRED, this is the second Citycon location, the third site in Stockholm and the seventh in Sweden.
The toilets were opened by the asset manager of Citycon Jesper Holmström and co-founder & chief commercial officer of ONE HUNDRED, Bram Gleichman. The new well-being restrooms offer hygiene, comfort and permanent attendance of a comfort crew at Kista Galleria. Citycon aims to improve the quality of all its facilities, including the restroom services, by prioritising the visitor experience in its large 58,200 m2 retail space.
Jesper Holmström, asset manager of Citycon says: “We want to be able to offer a better and more pleasant customer experience through our new paid toilets, which are designed and operated by ONE HUNDRED restrooms. These are toilets of the highest standard and a reinforcement of the service in the mall. In addition, they are staffed, which further strengthens the experience.”
Bram Gleichman, co-founder and CCO of ONE HUNDRED explains: “We are proud of our partnership with Citycon. We share the same values and it is a big compliment to our team that we can now open the second shopping mall with them in Stockholm. It’s lucky number seven in Sweden and we can’t wait for more to come”.
The aim of ONE HUNDRED restrooms is to change the concept of the “toilet break” in high traffic places such as shopping centres, train stations or highway service stations. It aims to turn a moment that is sometimes stressful due to a lack of adequate hygienic conditions into a moment that matters. It also aims to contribute to the prevention of potential health conditions. With the slogan “relieve, refresh and reload”, ONE HUNDRED aims to make every visit to the restroom a 5 minute well-being boost for the customer.
The new restroom facilities in Kista Galleria are both located on the ground floor. The first and bigger one is close to food court M.E.E.T.. This restroom hub has a toilet area for women, another for men and the other services include the disabled and baby change room, a nursery room and health check station. The second toilet unit is located next to MAX and contains most of the above named services except the nursery room and the health check station. The restrooms will be fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology with contactless solutions and water-saving flushing systems. Visitors of ONE HUNDRED Kista Galleria pay for their toilet visit. In return they get well-being services and discounts in selected shops at the mall. The toilets are accessible during the opening hours of the shopping centre.
