ONE HUNDRED wins gold MUSE design award
Amsterdam, Monday 16th of October 2023 – We are pleased to announce that the ONE HUNDRED mobile comfort hub has been crowned as a 2023 MUSE Design Awards Gold winner within the Architectural Design – Pop-Ups & Temporary category.
The MUSE Design Awards is an international competition that aims to advance the appreciation of great design and designers. They believe in the power of design to inspire, transform, and change the world, and the awards are a platform to celebrate this. The MUSE Design Awards has a broad spectrum of categories, ranging from interior and architectural design to product and fashion design.
Within 6 months after introducing its mobile comfort hub in Knokke-Heist, Belgium in July 2023, ONE HUNDRED has already secured its first recognition in the Pop-Ups & Temporary division of the MUSE awards.
This is because the mobile comfort hub offers a unique combination of premium restrooms in a mobile container. Visitors of the mobile comfort hub experience a moment of well-being through soothing music, indirect lighting, a pleasant scent and the comfortable interior. In addition, there is a full-time presence of the comfort crew, so that the toilet facilities are kept clean at all times.
The entry was judged by an esteemed panel of internationally recognized design professionals. The judges evaluate the submissions based on criteria like creativity, form, function, and what kind of impact the design has on the community or the industry.
Multiple award-winning
The Grands prix du design award isn’t the first recognition for the ONE HUNDRED restrooms project, designed by WeWantMore studio from Antwerp. The design for retail, transport hubs and higway service stations has been awarded in 2019 with a Silver A’Design award, a platinum MUSE design award, an iF design award in 2020, a Platinum Grand Prix and a golden ADC Award in the Public Building Interior Design Built category beginning of 2023.
The design concept of ONE HUNDRED is created by WeWantMore, a Belgium based award winning design studio, founded in 2006, focusing on graphic, interior and experiential design. Based on the original design of WeWantMore, Culinova and ONE HUNDRED have created the mobile hub solution.
