Amsterdam, 10 June 2026 – Yesterday, ONE HUNDRED restrooms and Fastned opened their first joint restroom concept in the Netherlands at Fastned Velder along the A2. The location is the fourth site the two partners have delivered together. After three successful openings in Belgium, ONE HUNDRED and Fastned are now bringing their renewed highway experience to the Netherlands, focusing on well-being, comfort and efficiency for Dutch electric drivers.
At the core of the collaboration is the COLLAB concept, a new proposition developed by ONE HUNDRED restrooms for partners such as Fastned that wish to enrich their stations with an integrated well-being experience within their own brand identity. The co-designed toilets enhance both comfort and Fastned’s visual identity, contributing to a consistent and comfortable travel experience.
The interior concept has been developed in collaboration with ONE HUNDRED restrooms and design studio Desarc, bringing together ONE HUNDRED’s distinctive well-being look and feel with Fastned’s iconic style. Characteristic elements include natural materials and fresh colour tones in wood and blue, Fastned lighting and subtle branding details that enhance the travel experience. In addition, attention has been given to innovative features that contribute to comfort and well-being on the go, such as a vending machine with self-care essentials for on the go.
At the opening, both parties emphasise their shared ambition to raise the standard of roadside infrastructure.
“At Fastned, we build stations for people,” says Luuk Valk, Head of Retail Development & Retail Operations at Fastned. “While charging, electric drivers need more than just energy for their cars. They want food, drinks, clean and comfortable facilities, and a place to relax. Together with ONE HUNDRED restrooms, we are creating a new standard for the modern stopover.”
“The collab concept shows how well-being and mobility can reinforce each other,” says Mariëlle Romeijn, Co-founder and Chief Brand Officer of ONE HUNDRED restrooms. “We want electric drivers to experience their stop as a moment to recharge, not only for their vehicle but also for themselves. With Fastned Velder, we are taking an important step in the Netherlands.”
The collaboration between both parties began in 2025 with the first joint location in Belgium and is now expanding further within a broader European rollout. Fastned and ONE HUNDRED are currently working on multiple new locations across the Benelux, which will open in the coming period.
With the opening of Fastned Velder, both organisations continue their shared mission to provide a comfortable, clean and welcoming travel experience along major European transport corridors, where charging and well-being increasingly come together. The location combines sanitary facilities with a shop for food and drinks on the go, enabling electric drivers to charge, refresh and continue their journey comfortably in one place.
