L’Esplanade shopping opens new ONE HUNDRED restrooms
Louvain, Friday 20th of October 2023 – Today ONE HUNDRED restrooms opened the doors of their new premium restrooms in L’Esplanade shopping centre, an innovative mall with more than 130 retail shops and 7 million annual visitors. The future proof toilet concept offers visitors of the mall a moment of relaxation. For ONE HUNDRED, this is the second Klépierre mall and the first one in Wallonia, Belgium.
To officially open the restrooms the ribbon was cut by Brieuc Smits-Ghiste shopping centre manager of L’Esplanade at Klépierre and Bram Gleichman co-founder & chief commercial officer of ONE HUNDRED, together with the comfort crew members of the restroom company. They will be permanently present at the restrooms to make sure the hygiene level is continuously retained.

The purpose of ONE HUNDRED restrooms is to change the concept of the “toilet break” in high traffic places such as shopping centres, train stations or highway service stations. It aims to turn a moment that is sometimes stressful due to a lack of adequate hygienic conditions into a moment that matters. It also aims to contribute to the prevention of potential health conditions. With the slogan “relieve, refresh and reload”, ONE HUNDRED aims to make every visit to the restroom a 5 minute well-being boost for the customer.
The new restroom facilities in L’Espanade will be fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology with contactless solutions and water-saving flushing systems. Visitors of ONE HUNDRED pay for their toilet visit, in return they get well-being services and discounts in selected shops at the mall. The toilets are accessible during the opening hours of the shopping centre.
